Our work will always yield an excellent return, so we must be diligent and faithful to stay in God’s service our entire lives. We are assured throughout Scripture that God will not abandon us, and one way this proves real is that He will always cause an outcome when His Word is preached. Our part is to simply stay stable in our service. If we stay faithful to His will and His method for us, we can be sure to see the elements of His strategies unfold in our lives.
The prophet Samuel led the country of Israel faithfully for the majority of his life. In his goodbye address, he admonished the people that they should faithfully serve God as they participated in a brand-new period of kingship. By keeping God as their focus even with a human king, they could be assured of God’s love in their lives. God offers us the strength to serve Him, and gives us joy as we do. Remember His blessings and His pledges as you seek to serve Him in your own life.
God desires that we be so convinced of His tender love, so persuaded He is at work bringing us into His best, that we will have continual joy and gladness in our walk with Him! Moses warned Israel, “Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things, for that reason you will serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send versus you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of all things” (Deuteronomy 28:47 -48).
This is a popular preferred with professional athletes, company professionals, and many other believers. It usually describes God’s capability to strengthen us for whatever we set our minds to. There is fantastic revenue for you and for others if your labor today is serving. But there is a difference between simply serving and serving the Lord. You can serve an individual, a ministry, or a cause, however serving the Lord is something altogether various. Serving will impact the method you work, and serving the Lord will impact how you serve.
Is there a difference between work and serve? Sure! They are both essentially the very same, but work is another word for labor. You can work for food, for good friends, or for funds, but work is simply … work! Serving is a specific type of work: work that shows an instructions. You can work without regard for others, however you can not serve that way. Serving is labor for somebody else. It will make all the difference in the world today if you are serving instead of simply working.
