Moses warned Israel, “Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things, for that reason you will serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send versus you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of all things” (Deuteronomy 28:47 -48).

You can serve an individual, a ministry, or a cause, however serving the Lord is something altogether various. Serving will impact the method you work, and serving the Lord will impact how you serve.

Is there a difference between work and serve? Sure! They are both essentially the very same, but work is another word for labor. You can work for food, for good friends, or for funds, but work is simply … work! Serving is a specific type of work: work that shows an instructions.
